So my taste in music isn't exactly to many peoples' liking, although I'm unapologetically proud of it. I grew up loving RnB and pop music. I would have J Lo, Mariah, Backstreet Boys and N*Sync (okay maybe I'm not so proud of that one) constantly on repeat on my CD player. I loved (and still do) Aaliyah, Jay-Z, JaRule, 112, Brian McKight and Jagged Edge... oh the memories that surface from just listing them!
When Hammer J came onto my scene, so did his music. I didn't exactly embrace all his punk rock (although Yau Face and Jess introduced me to The Used. I even bought one of their hoodies... ahh the thought of that makes me laugh). One band I couldn't believe I didn't get into earlier was Weezer. I was suddenly listening to all their CDs (even their new ones), albeit ten years late.
Weezer announced an Australian tour last year and we were lucky to get tickets. We go tomorrow and I'm pretty excited...
I don't often admit I'm wrong with Joel, but I have to credit him for introducing me to some pretty awesome music.
